I've finished the third and final book in the matched trilogy, Cassia Reyes is now determined to beat Society together with The Rising. This book focuses on war and and epidemic that threatens the life of the inhibitors of what is seemingly USA many years ahead.
*MINOR SPOILERS/SUMMARY*
The first book focused on the love triangle between Ky, Cassia and Xander, but the search for Ky leads Cassia into her destiny. Whilst in the second we see a lot of character development on Cassias site, the second focuses a lot on the development for Xander. The book is also parted in three, so we get Cassias point of view, Kys point of view and Xanders point of view. In the middle Ky is getting closer with Cassias best friend from book 2 Indie, and the trio is separated. Cassia discovers herself, trade and sees that she has a creative spirit. She's no longer depending on either society, Ky or Xander and lives for herself, more, and in the end sets the greater goods needs before her own personal and Xander is set free and finds new love.
This is by far my favorite of the three of them and I really loved this book. Even though it took me a while to finish due to other circumstances. Its a catching read with a good build up, you get extremely exited in the end and it's even a crime genre aspect to it that completely get you hooked. I'd say the other two was worth the read to finish this book. The topic is as mentioned war and epidemic, not unusual for a dystopian future novel, but ends well and leaves you with a good feeling. It's not a thought provoking book, but a light read that is purely for entertainment, but it's also aimed on a younger audience, so I will say the writer did an excellent job.
I rate this 4/5
But if I read this as 13, I'd probably give it a 5/5
I love trilogy books, and it looks like a good book with great storyline.
