Strangled corpse makeup tutorial

Slit throat SFX makeup tutorial

It's been a while since I did any gore-makeup, so I'm really feeling I'm on a roll with creating different wounds and bloody details that can really make a look come together! I'm a big fan of incorporating details like bloody nails, slit throats and other damages into a makeup design to make it really come together. The slit throat is suitable for costumes like a beheaded lady or as a part of a corpse makeup. 

I'm very happy that I've been able to keep up my videos on a regular basis once a week for five weeks now. Combined with the 100 days of makeup is has really upped my productivity as an artist and make me prioritize social media work

Optical illusion twisted hand makeup tutorial

I've been loving on these optical illusion body paints for ages, and as I can't really get any kind of light at this time of the year unless I'm really lucky I won't be able to do any face tutorials (Trust me, I'm keeping track on the sundown and sunlight forecast in Oslo like a maniac). But I got quite a lot of cool hand tutorials laying around so it's a good opportunity to try out some of them! I've been propping up a working light with a DIY reflector using aluminium foil and I can just about get enough cold light to shoot somewhat of an excuse of a video. Gonna try some different backgrounds on my table to get a still and better video this weekend. If you've seen some cool hand art you wan't me to recreate, make sure to pop it down below!

What have you been up to lately? I've been going back and forth between exams (which I've finished pretty much, whohoo!) if I should order the Jeffree Star green lipstick holiday collection. I can't find anything similar in either color or formula, and it's been a while since the scandals now. I'm a real advocate for second chances, separating brand and face and giving people the benefit of the doubt. And should it matter, as the brand is killing it when it comes to being cruelty free, vegan and amazing quality? Well, if I end up buying it, you'll probably see it up on my blog in a while.

Hello lovelies! As per usual I link my weekly video on youtube here on my blog, even though as I've mentioned before I'm not the most active on here because I don't have the time to keep up with a daily blog. But I do truly miss blogging, so I'm getting back to it as soon as my schedule allows it! How have you been these last weeks? I've been busy with school, life, editing and filming halloween videos and keeping up with daily tasks. So much have happened in the span of a couple of months, and Donald Trump winning the US election kind of topped the cherry of a crap year. As a norwegian inhabitant I of course hope he'll want to stay in NATO either way, but we'll see what the future brings and worry about our own lives for now. On a different note, do you have any suggestions or wishes for makeup tutorials in December? If so, leave them down below because I'm currently drawing my designs out!

Be a living doll for halloween II halloween 2016

Halloween is coming closer and I wanted to do one of my own nightmares from my childhood. After seeing an especially terrifying episode of Goosebumps of a ventriloquist puppet I was forever terrified of these things. And to this day there is nothing more scary to me then these dolls. This is inspired by the classic cracked porcelain doll and the more sinister ventriloquist puppet. I chose lighter cute colors, a sad and depressed outlook and pigtails with bows for a cute and creepy look. But kept the puppet mouth which makes the ventriloquist dolls so terrifying. 

By the way, I'm working up posts for my blog, but as I'm doing quite a demanding study for these next years I probably won't be able to daily blog, give love to other creators and do youtube/instagram regularly. How to become a living sketch makeup tutorial II halloween 2016

A costume for all the art lovers out there, I hope you find this weeks video inspiring and try it out for yourself. This is definitely one of the more creative costumes out there if you like taking it all out, and is a fun twist of the classic black and white makeup. You can add on a black wig, a black dress, some grey lenses and a pair of black shoes, and you're good to go as a sexy drawing. 
And the very best part of this costume? It requires nearly no materials, and you can use a mix of regular cosmetics and cheap halloween store products. I will recommend you getting the products I use as I know they're fit for this use, but it's not necessary.

Ringmaster clown burton style makeup tutorial II Halloween 2016

 

Halloween is coming around, and of course I had to do something Burton inspired. I want a good mix of scary and less scary tutorials, so you have a lot to choose from at halloween. I've actually already done this look before, at last halloween, but I didn't film it because it was too dark out. But I did absolutely love it and I knew I wanted to show you this, and I've saved it until this year. What is so fun about re-creating a look I did a year ago is that I can so clearly see improvement and how my art style has changed during a year. This look is inspired by Tim Burton, Michael Hussar and vintage candy shops. The style is clearly burtonesque, but the nose shading, lip shading and cheek shading is inspired by Hussars painting style. And I can reveal that later this October I'm doing a more directly Hussar inspired look, but I need to finish sketching it out first.

Gouged eye SFX tutorial II Halloween tutorials 2016

We're nearing halloween and I've been filming and sketching for you guys all summer, so get ready for one crazy month. The videos will be uploaded either Wednesday or Friday and will be a mix of body paints and prosthetics. This look was inspired by the gouged out eye that goes around Pinterest every year in October, so I wanted to do my little twist on it. 



The process is simplified so that most people can get a good result without much skill. As you can tell I didn't want a super neat application, this is because most people won't know how to properly apply prosthetics, and it shows how to blend in any errors so that it looks believable on a party, as a cosplay or wherever you want to wear this look.

Royal lips for summer makeup tutorial

Hello! I was really supposed to come back with a boom, and rather quickly. My last post was in April, and that merely not acceptable. But here I am, a little comeback with a summer makeup tutorial video, fireworks and confetti all over the floor. I hope you can forgive me, with all that's been going on this year with school, work, music videos and exams, I wasn't inspired to write and I didn't have the time to do proper posts. And suddenly months passed. I'll do an updated "my life right now post", and even a vlog of some of my summer, but for now let us get on with the video. 

In the time I've been gone my old computer has said goodbye, so I am changing editing program from pinnacle on a computer to final cut pro for Mac, so please bear with me until I finesse the video quality and figure out how to use it. Hello! It was about time to upload some gore again! In this video I've used sculpt gel which is quite a expensive material, but you can switch over to wax and liquid latex for the same effect. You use sculpt gel by mixing equal parts of A and B together, be sure not to cross-contaminate the jars!

Lady Gaga's Grammy Awards makeup tutorial |RIP David Bowie

Lady Gaga and David Bowie all mashed into one makeup look, it can't be wrong. I recreated this look I saw on gaga and meshed together two pictures of her performance and ended up with this look. It's very artsy and dramatic, basically Gaga. It's obviously not something to wear for everyday, but it's a good look to have for a dress up party or halloween!

Queen of Hearts makeup tutorial

I know I'm late for valentines, but hey at least I've finally done a queen of hearts video! I'm currently on winter break at my mothers house, hence the lacking of back background and access to an external light to brighten up the lights. So sorry about the crappy quality, it took quite a long time both to edit and to film this. The filming part is due to the lack of competence when it comes to painting on clothes, I would have added more details to my look but the natural daylight would have disappeared completely. And the collar took a long ass time, trust me. So add natural daylight in Norway and a not so great camera, bad quality.. but you get the point though! And when it comes to editing, my computer is singing on the last note and I yet haven't dared to test the new video program on my mac, so videos these next weeks might be a bit delayed until I learned it properly and my school audition is handed in. 

My inspiration for this look was of course the queen of hearts, but we've been focusing so much on 1700-1800's in school lately that I incorporated that in my look unconsciously. I would have love to re-do this look in a more creative and artistic way in a couple of years, when I'm a more experienced body painter and I'm not rushed by the natural daylight. It's an interesting concept. 

In this look however I'm quite accurately using the typical makeup in the 1800's, the beauty mark, pale skin, rosy cheeks and pale eyebrows. I only missed my grey wig, but I think the green hair brought out the red and gave the whole look a more fictional look, so I got away with it ;)

I hope you're having a wonderful day! Myself are hard core single, and pretty content being single every single other day of the year except this one. I chose personally for myself to focus on developing myself this year, and being the dumb ass I am, I work freelance plus my part time job and take two years in one. A boyfriend in all that madness would have to fit into the time I am waiting on my bus. But at this day of love, not long from the light in the end of the tunnel, I find myself thinking, what if somebody just surprised me with roses on the door unexpectedly. But then again, this mystery person would probably turn right around, because I'm still in my PJs and have eaten onion chips all day whilst studying and editing this video. If a sloppy onion smelling girl isn't the hottest thing ever, I don't know what is. 

Hopefully you have much better plans then I do (And you're probably smart enough not to take two years in one), so I hope this get ready with me video will help you with your makeup this evening or any other night for that matter!

Electric Shock Clubbing Makeup video tutorial

I'm now back from my youtube break as well. All through December I was lacking some artificial light and this made filming tutorials very hard. Of course I prefer natural daylight, but that's not possible in winter time in Norway. To explain this look for my new subscribers, I've been posting mainly sfx and character makeups these last months, which I will continue to focus on if you're wondering, but if I do get a request to do a look from my blog or I am down with too much work I'll be doing some beauty looks as well since they don't require as much time and planning.
