Urban Decay face complexion primer potion brightening and tightening

Urban Decay is famous for their eyeshadow primer, the primer potion original. At a shared place with too faced shadow insurance it is one of the most hyped products in the beauty environment. But what about their face primer?

The formula is a oil-free see through cream with a gel feel to it. It's supposed to brighten and tighten your face, to create a velvet smooth finish, fix up dull skin and fill in fine lines before applying foundation. On Urban Decays own website it claims that it gives a smooth, effortless application and a long lasting coverage. It's supposed to give the face glow, to visibly reduce wrinkles and to moisturize your skin.

I've tested this with Maybelinne fit me foundation 110 and NARS sheer glow foundation in 01. On the first note, it does moisturize your skin and give it a certain glow, but not as much moisture as with a moisturizer. And with my red sensitive skin I don't think this is suitable by it self, as claimed on the website. It can sometimes make the face extremely dewy combined with my sheer glow foundation, but it would look perfect with a matte foundation on top and keep it from caking up, Therefore I will not recommend this for oily skin or if you prefer a settled glow.

A pro is that it contains glycerin, and if any of you watches Nikkietutorials' videos you'll know about her Nivea men aftershave primer, and you'll know that glycerin makes products adhere to it. (And if you don't know about her already, make sure to check her channel ASAP) The product adhering makes the foundation apply evenly, opaque and stay longer. I'd say my foundation last an hour or two longer with this underneath. I am still young, so I can't say much about the wrinkle remove or filling in lines effect.
